I was scouted at a Rihanna concert
How is it different to work in NY compared to Canada?
For the most part tend to find working in NY compared to Canada fairly similar, of course they have their small differences but for the most part everyone seems to be on the same page, all wanting the same results
You travel a lot back and forth, how do you cope with all the flying?
I’ve always been a good flyer and when you end up having 6 flights in two weeks it can get overwhelming but after awhile you get used to it. The whole process feels like second nature at this point
Most interesting story to tell from NY?
the most interesting thing i feel I did in NY was probably the caribe ride through Central Park, while it was as cheesy as it sounds, it was a beautiful and relaxing day
How do you spend your time when not working?
when I’m not working I’m most often home just outside of Toronto, playing hockey, seadooing or atv’ing
My favourite shoot was probably in Tokyo where they took us three hours outside the city to go to this amazing horse ranch right on the beach, that’s definitely something I could never forget
My favourite designer would be Travis Taddeo from Montreal. Every year he seems to have more amazing stuff. Being one of my first jobs I’ve always felt that connection and respect for him as well
I’ve done many shoots in Toronto for years now with Alex Evans, I can’t say I’ve ever not been pleased with the work we do which is why I’d have to say he is probably my favourite photographer
What is your favourite band right now?
As a big country music fan Eric Church is, and has been for awhile, my favourite artist
What is your “guilty pleasure”-music?
My musical guilty pleasure has to be Michael Bubble. You just can’t go wrong listening to his songs
What is your favourite city?
I love traveling and take in so much from it but if it’s shown me anything it’s that I love where I’m from. Every city has its own benefits but Toronto Is home for me and most likely always will be. It’s is definitely my favourite city
Event that changed your life?
The most impactful event I’ve ever been through would be my first trip to Tokyo. I was 17 and staying there for 2 months on my own. This experienced forced me to mature enough to be on my own and without a doubt has alter my life for the better
Where are you in 5 years
In 5 years I plan to be finishing university with a marketing degree
