When did you start your career as a model?
In college, I had a photographer friend that asked to shoot me for his portfolio. He then went into a local Dallas agency to shoot with their models, and they asked if I was signed. When he said no I was brought in, and the contract was signed.
Why did you want to be a model?
I never did as a kid and teen, but as a young adult I found the artistic side of photoshoots and clothing design really inspiring and became interested in the group effort to create art.
What would you do if you where not modelling?
I’d like to go into concept art for video games or animated movies.
How do you spend your time when not working?
I‘m a big gamer, so I’m usually playing some rpg and iPhone games simultaneously. If I’m not gaming, I’m painting, drawing, or sewing clothing.
My favorite would be the one I did in Paris for Sorbet Magazine. We shot gorgeous couture gowns on a rooftop in Paris. The team was amazing to work with and even though we experienced on and off showers we were able to get more than 20 looks done that day.
I did a shoot in Texas where the photographer spent the entire day telling me how terrible of a model I was and how I was messing up the shoot. It really killed the mood of the shoot. When I got the photos back, they were so blown out that they were unusable.
What is your favourite band right now?
“Guilty Pleasure” music?
What is your Favourite City?
New York, New York baby
Book/movie/Event that changed your life?
My most life changing experience has been losing one of my best friends named Seth. He was one of the most optimistic, happy people on this entire planet. He would give the very last $5 out of his pocket and the shirt off his back for a complete stranger. He expected me to be an amazing friend back to him, and I rose to the challenge. Before he passed, he made sure I was a positive person, but after he passed I made sure I continued being a light of positive energy in his stead.
Where are you in 5 years
Happy and successful. That’s all that’s necessary for me. I’m a very fluid, go with the flow type of person, so where exactly I’ll be is a mystery, and I like it that way.
