Gap Unveils Mama Said Campaign starring Coco Rocha and Liv Tyler

On May 14th the world celebrates Mother’s Day and for the occasion GAP just unveiled “Mama Said” Campaign.

The “Mama Said” Campaign celebrates the power and the beauty of motherhood and the American brand created a joyful advertisement starring famous mothers and their children, like models Candice Swnepoel and Coco Rocha, actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Cass & Ali Bird  and actress Liv Tyler who also co-directed the campaign with Paola Kudacki.

The campaign captures the beauty of playful mother-son moments, while also featuring some GAP iconic pieces, such as casual t-shirts, basic jeans and colorful sweaters with GAP famous logo.

As part of the project, GAP will issue a call of action for people to make a donation to Every Mother Counts, an organization that helps provide safe childbirth and pregnancy for women around the globe.

Liv Tyler opened up about the “Mama Said” concept, saying:

I often think of the things my grandmother and my mother have been telling me my whole life. Remembering what your ‘mama said’ as a child and growing up is very important. I often try to think of things that I can say to my children in a way that they can hear me the same way I heard my mom.”
