Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2015 Ad Campaign

“It is not very easy to try to do something different,”

Gucci’s new creative director, Alessandro Michele is making a name for himself with the brilliantly comprised Fall 2015 ad campaign for the Italian house. Glen Luchford photographed this year’s ‘it’ models, Tessa Bruinsma, Sven de Vries, Lia Pavlova, and Tobias Lundh in Los Angeles.

The Fall/Winter takes a more vintage-western appeal. Florals, ruffles, fur, and pops of colors create a look almost reminiscent of the ‘50s.

“I wanted to bring my creative vision to life through this advertising campaign, the first one featuring my collections,”

Michele let the photographer and models run wild on the streets and subways of L.A while passersby were photographed in the background.  Michele told the Huffington Post, “I decided to go back to the streets, as with the Cruise collection I just showed in New York. I believe there is a fluid and organic contamination that exists between the catwalk and the street. Fashion, especially ready-to-wear, is something real, made for every day and for everyone to express their own creativity and individuality.”

Ad campaigns seem to always be so precisely shot and positioned, it’s nice to see a breath of fresh air. Check out a preview of the Fall/Winter collection in the video below.
