William Blake once described peace as “the human dress.” In this collection of menswear, designer Sarah Burton applied the visual images of Blake for this collection. Literally, these items include a dress “for men”.
The zippers are accommodated around the arms in the garments or acted as another functionally decorative line designed to awaken your perception of liberation and restraint. An underlying theme of duplicity was explored in a nifty double-lapel tailored jacket and double-fronted leather trench coat. The men’s jewelry was beautiful too, and there was a bag in a larger-size edition of its equivalent in women’s clothing.
The collection has few looks, but each one with a spectacular force, Sarah Burton, has not disappointed us.
