The designer built a large oval runway for the event where more than 70 models walked with an original soundtrack in the background.
The garments ranged from column dresses that were inlaid with large and thick sequins, the reinforced bolero jackets took form through microplissé structures and, for the feet, Swedish dominatrix-ish boots – already distinctive of Williams – up to the knee.
What was remarkable about this particular collection was the brand’s collaboration with New York artist Josh Smith, of whom he interpreted his semi-abstract paintings through his vision. Thus the collection grew from obscurity to an artistic display in motion, where haute couture meets streetwear.
