The Palais Galliera pays homage to the glamorous Italian star Dalida, dedicating an exhibition to her wardrobe.

The Parisian fashion museum Palais Galliera from April 27th to August 13th 2017 will offer to the public the chance to discover more about Dalida‘s life and style, presenting a retrospective of the singer through her remarkable wardrobe, which was recently donated to the museum by her brother Orlando.

Dalida has been one of the most famous singers in France but her life was marked by a tragic destiny, so thirty years after her suicide Palais Galliera decided to showcase her wardrobe that always followed the movements of fashion and it also reflected her artistic development.

The curator Sandrine Tinturier chose for the exhibition emblematic pieces, including both stage costumes and daywear items, such as Jacques Estére’s New Look dresses from the 50’s, to 70’s evening gowns by Balmain and Loris Azzaro, as well as Carven, Yves Saint Laurent, Rive Gauche and many more designs.
