From 1949 to 1952 Robert Doisneau was a photographer for Vogue Paris and Espace Richaud dedicates and exhibition to his career.
Robert Doisneau was tasked by Edmonde Charles-Roux to photograph Paris high society for Vogue magazine. He was a pioneer, capturing with his dear Leica camera the Parisian spirit of the period attending events like fashion shows, private society parties and glamorous balls.
“Robert Doisneau, Les Années Vogue” exhibition, presents an unknown aspect of Robert Doisneau’s work for Vogue Paris magazine from 1949 to the sixties, showing an important collection of pictures that gives the public the chance to discover unreleased images lensed by the photographer.
The exhibition presented in exclusivity at the Versailles’ Espace Richaud from March 8th to May28th, also includes the documentary “Robert Doisneau, Le Révolté du Merveilleux”, written and directed by Robert Doisneau grand-daughter Clémentine Deroudille.
